He has practiced criminal law almost exclusively for the past 17 years. Royland regularly presents on panels dealing with criminal law issues and is a member of committees with the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Ontario Justice Education Network, the Salvation Army, and the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers.
